Lucas 8015 Primer for TPO membrane roofs

Following the cleaning phase, preparing the roof with the IG8015 primer is the second step in applying the F System for TPO roofs. This product promotes the adhesion of waterproofing materials to the roof surface, ensuring a perfect seal. Additionally, much like a paint primer, IG8015’s opacity helps even out the surface color and improves its appearance after the application of the IG8500 joint sealant and the final IG8000 waterproofing layer.

Description

The IG8015 primer is designed to promote adhesion of 100% silicone and silane-terminated polyurethane coatings and sealants to TPO roofing membranes.

IG8015 is manufactured from a fast-evaporating solvent carrier and adhesive resins.

Storage and preservation

Store between 39.2°F (4°C) and 95°F (35°C). Protect from frost. Avoid direct sun exposure. (High temperatures and humidity may reduce shelf life.)

Shelf life of two years from the date of manufacture.

Application

The IG8015 primer contains a blue pigment to help assess application coverage. It must dry for two to four hours before applying any coating or sealant. Refer to the technical data sheet for detailed application instructions.

Cautions
