IG8500 is used to seal penetrations and terminations on flat roofs before applying the full IG8000 waterproofing coating. Quick to apply and cure, it offers immediate weather resistance, minimizing downtime and eliminating the need for prolonged building closures.

Description

IG8500 is a non-shrinking, moisture-curing mastic intended for flashing and for sealing or repairing the joints and fasteners of elastomer flat roofs. It offers excellent adhesion to concrete, masonry, vinyl, fiber cement, polyurethane foam, EPDM rubber, aged acrylic coatings, granular cap sheets, wood, metals, Kynar, and most common building materials.

The IG8500 sealant is composed of non-reactive oxime silicone (high solid content, contains no solvents, and less than 10 g/L VOCs).

Storage and preservation

Store between 41°F (5°C) and 95°F (35°C). Protect from frost. Avoid direct sun exposure. (High temperatures and humidity may reduce shelf life.)

Shelf life of two years from the date of manufacture.
